We don’t show live open/closed status. A date here is what the farm’s website said on the day we checked.
Every date and every set of hours is quoted from the farm’s own website, with a link to the page and the day we read it. Where a farm’s website says two different things, we quote both. Dates without a year are marked “no year stated”. When a published last day has passed, the farm moves to the list of farms that say picking is over, with the date marked as passed.
Typical Ohio seasons (Ohio Proud, statewide averages): apples mid August through October, pumpkins mid September to October. Farms set their own dates.
Several farms say this year’s weather cut their crop short – for example Blue Jay Orchard (“ended too soon due to the late spring frost and hot fall temps”) and Peifer Orchards (“late spring freeze”). Picking can end early when a farm runs out of fruit.
